I need a tent for next year I'm going to france for a week by myself. I'm looking at getting a 3 man dome tent so I've got enough room for my stuff for a week. I like the lichfield apache 3+ or 4+ (as I'd have a bit more room). How easy are these tents to put up by myself, so is there something better to have? I also love the fact I've found a pink model of this tent!
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
hi, not had knowledge of the apache but i had a 9 man Litchfield, it was great to put up, the bedrooms were great as the litchfields peg at the back as well, so no saggy bits, i would not hesitate to buy another litchfield.
If you've ever put up a dome tent before, you'll have absolutely no problem putting one up by yourself. I have the 3 person version and it takes about 10 minutes to put up. You'll have plenty of space if you're travelling by yourself, but have you thought of getting a tunnel tent with a larger porch? They're still easy to put up, but yo'll have a bit of separate living space to use if the weather isn't great.
I have a Lichfield Apache 3 - it's a brilliant tent. As Serenlas said it takes about 10 minutes to put up even if your on your own. I've had it for about 2 years and it's been used in virtually all weathers. First time I used it was in heavy rain March 2005 - stood up well and kept us warm and dry.
i have the lichfield apache 3, you have to put the poles thru the inner tent, then throw the outer skin over, thats fine and does only take ten minates to put up, but in the rain, your wet the inner is wet, i would go for the pop up tent quechua 3 throw it in to the air, its up in 3 seconds, four pegs and your in the dry, and only 15/20 seconds to fold up and put away john.
------------- if you do not hear from me soon, im lost, help!!
