Hi,

does anyone have a sun valley 8?, I've seen one for £290 in the new gooutdoors camping shop and we are looking for something bigger.  Currently have a Colorado 5 which we love as its quick to put up and down, but with the kids getting bigger they really need to have seperate sleeping pods.

I've been in the sun valley 8,but I'm worried about the L shape created by the 3d pod, doe it create useless space?  its the 2007 model with the closing front not the new 2008 model which for some mad reason outwell have created with an attached canopy instead of the front doors...

any help / advice appreciated,

thanks

I have a Norfolk Lake which is the same shape as the pre-2008 SV8.

The third pod does eat into your space in the main area and it becomes just a Bedroom area so you only putthe 3rd pod up when you have to.

However, with the pre2008 models you have the closed-in porch which can be used as a living area in any weather.

As you say, with the 2008 model Outwell have changed the closed-in porch to an open canopy.  The logic of this escapes me and I can only assume that this descission was made in the bar on a Friday afternoon after a few jars of Carlsberg Export - probably ?.

thanks for your input.  I was thinking that you could just remove the 3rd bedroom, but worried it was a bit of a fiddle to do each day.

yes unsure of outwell's logic on the 2008 sv.  we love our colorado but just need a bit more room, plus my daughet doesn't like sharing with her brother any more.....

We often undo most of the third bedroom in the day to give a bit more space. It takes seconds to undo most of the clips and let it hand off the last few.

Its only a bargain if you needed it in the first place!!!
