we done exactly the same last year. bought a cheap argos tent, 2 weeks in Norfolk with rain but the tent stayed dry. , loved it, bought a nebraska xxl, heard all bad reviews, done a hose down test in the garden and no leaks. We bought from yeomans, they said if there are problems then we can take it back. then had babes No 3, and think tent may be to much hassel to put up, so ordered a cabanon neptune trailer tent for ease on this years hols.
do the hose test, some did get a good tent, it as only really the 2006 models that seemed to have a problem.
ime really looking forward to using it this year, and i will try the hose test ,will have to steal someones elses garden for it...,,,now just gotta find a campsite which will let me pitch it...was gonna try rowston holiday park in tenby but looks like they dont take that size of tent!!! never mind i'll keep looking...
if your looking in the tenby area i can recomend Well Park which is just opposite rowston you should have no problem with your size of tent, very friendly people and very reasonably priced and well maintained and clean shower block. it`s one of my regular trips.
------------- fresh air, lager and no work. who could want more?

Can second Yeomans .I bought my nebraska xl from them and had no problem Have you looked at the Royal Pescara 8 .Same layout and design as the nebraska
gonna have a do in my nebraska, this year, never used it yet...this will only be my third time camping with the kids..hopefully the weather will be better than last years terrible summer..if not i might have to retire from camping altogether.. third time lucky....
Hi petetina hope all goes well for you in the nebraska.little tip on erecting.First roll out tent and peg loosely (make sure you have loosend the buckles first) put the cross section pole through the roof sleeves first then get someone to go in side and lift these up .On the outside put the 4 legs into there places and when you have the centre section done ,clipped taughtish you can all help to follow throught with the rest.Nomally Mart then hammers in the pegs and im inside putting floor down carting stuff in ect.All in all for a big tent it doest take long to put up and when you have fitted in the bedrooms this takes up less time still. The only time i take out the bedrooms is if i have a lot of condensation on the inside when were striking camp. Have a look here for a site that will have your tent.Good luck

We bought the Nebraska XXL in 2006 from Yeomans at Ambleside. We have since had 3 of them. The 1st one had a few minor defects, holes in flyscreens, zip on bedroom pod didn`t zip properly etc, so it was returned for tent no 2.
Tent no2 leaked like a sieve so was returned for no3. No3 had a ruddy great hole in the SIG where the groundsheet hadn`t been sewn to the tent properly.
We have now given up on the XXL and are going to get Yeomans to give us a Vermont XL instead. Fingers crossed that our 4th tent is problem free!
thanks carole for the tips...its usually me n my mate pitchin up 2 large tents, while the blokes look lost and bewildered.....but i think were goin without them this year,, so i will try my best....
hi..beezers....
you got me worried now..i got the tent from yeomans at the end of last year and havent even opened the bags to check them yet...i better do that i think pretty quick before its too late to send back,,,,,
