Tent search still continues.... Thought i had finally found one suitable, Outwell Hartford L Tent. But him indoors has read that even though it has a fully sewn in grown sheet the inner bedrooms still need pitching first? How can that be? Any ideas?
Does anyone have this tent? If so, are you pleased with it etc??
Thanks in advance for any replies!

"The Hartford L is a radically revised tent (it has seen the light) for the 2008 season. The Duratec fibreglass poled frame for the Hartford is now external which means that the tent is pitched flysheet first (rather than inner first)."
Copied the above from the Outdoor megastore description, seems as tho it is outer first!
Most Outwell inners are held in place by toggles, ours can be pitched as a whole, i.e. bedrooms attached to outer, but it is easier to detatch them to dry it out, therefore we pitch the outer first then toggle the bedroom pods inplace!
Our OutwellS have never let us down!
The only issue with that shape of tent is that some campsites prefer the tunnel shape of tent as they take up less room!
Outwell website says the pitching method is flysheet or all as one first, I believe this means that the whole tent is one unit where inner and outer are one unit (bedrooms are part of the inner with a fly sheet over) have a look at the link -
Wow, we had the old style Hartford xxl so we were very interested to see the new video. We sold our Hartford and bought a Sunncamp Mondial 1600, basically the same style but better height in the bedroom pods as this was our ONLY gripe with the Hartford.
Does this mean that the New Hartford is classed as a single skin? how would this affect insulation etc? The new look to the bedrooms are excellent with extra roof height. We love our Sunncamp so wouldn't change again now but would be interested to see this one just to be nosy!!!
Thanks again for advice everyone! And thanks Haribo1 for your help today!
Think we will go for the Outwell Nevada M (4 berth) although we do need to find somewhere that has it up first. Has anyone seen it anywhere in the Hampshire area lately??
