No I haven't but I keep looking at it in online shops. I don't need one, I am just really curious about it...
The demo fo the twister 4 shows an ingenious development from pop up tents and I think that these Twister designs are more versatile than the pop up shape - at 173cms the Twister 5 will be tall enough for me to stand up. However, I notice they don't give a proper waterproof rating in HH or mm, and that always makes me wonder....

I was interested in this tent so I found a local tent specialist who stocked it and who didnt mind putting it up so I could see it. It was still sealed in a bag when I arrived (so they had not practiced before hand!) went up as easy as the video on the gilbert site made out. Plenty of head height I am 6'3. But then came the time to put it down! They really struggled to get it back in the bag, took about 30 minutes after being folded just to 'roll' it into the bag!
This really put us off at wanted something quick and easy to put up and down! Then looked at the gilbert quickpitch DS 4, this is fantastic up and pegged down in 5 minutes and put away in about 6 minutes, bought that one instead.

Hi
I got one of these today and as it was so sunny I put it up. It's pretty easy to put up and I had it up, pegged and guy roped in undeer 10 mins single handed. With help and a bit of practice this will easily come down to under 5 mins.
Putting it away wasn't too bad and probably took less time than putting it up although there is a knack to it. The instructions are sewn into the tent cover and if you follow them you should have no probs (my wife didn't recon she would be able to do it herself.. i think she might). You roll the poles into the bag while pushing them down, using the ground to keep the poles bent.
For a weekend tent or for an overnight stay on a long trip I don't think you could go far wrong with this. We will be sleeping 2 adults and 3 kids ( 2 teenagers) in it and it looks like there's plenty of space,
Would love to hear how you get on McSpud, Particularly regarding any condensation problems. It seems like a good idea as the inner tent has large mesh panels in the roof to allow warm air to escape which in theory should keep condensation down, add to this that both doors have a full mesh option, there should be good ventilation and bug barrier. I am looking at the Twister 4. As the spec does not make it clear if both Fly and inner tent are both coated to 3000mmHH, I checked with Gelert, who confirmed they were. This was a concern I had due to the design of the fly not covering the tent walls. Re packing away, I notice that even Gelert's video show two people putting the tent back in the bag as it looks there is a real knack to it.
On another post, it was mentioned that some amount of strength and dexterity was required to bend the poles sufficiently enough to roll it into the bag and the lady could not do it. I'm hoping the smaller size of the Twister 4 will make this easier. Really impressed with the feeling of space and airiness in the 4. As with all tents, it's never a 4 berth...a cosy 3 berth maybe, but great for two with good space for kit due to the hexagonal footprint.
The Twister 4 is definetely the roomiest smaller pop up design around at the moment...bigger than the Outwells, the Quechuas and Gelert smaller pop ups and now it's confirmed that inner and fly are both 3000mmHH, it seems to me that that gives double protection in real heavy rain. The seam sealing will be the next important thing...but this can only be tested once out in the rain!
