please could you advise me on the best 3 man tent for long weekends for myself and boyfreind and for my boys to use with our darwin5 tent which was excellent at glastonbury last year, we were very dry!!!. We need the tent to be al least 3000hs and be quick to put up although we are both seasoned campers. Not too expensive too as we already have a very good larger tent.  thaks

My son has a Gelert Nimbus 3 which is a good little tent but not sure if they still do it. It's similar to a Vango Gamma.

Have a look here - they do the Gelert Startus 3 and the Gamma 350, as well as a host of other 3 berths.

I'd head to millets and buy the eurohike flash III popup. Great tent, good quality, but get them to show you how to put it away before you buy. That way, you avoid the embarrasment of looking a prize idiot later.

2 seconds to put up... 10 to take down, plenty of room, and it easily takes a double mattress with room to spare.

If only they would invent collapsing washing up bowls... OMG, they did!

See my post on the Gelert Rocky 4 and the best price supplier I could find (Charlies Direct).

They do the Rocky 3 (because that's what I wanted but got the bigger tent in error).

It's only got a HH of 1500 but that should be more than adequate for spring/summer weekend camping. My wife survived a weekend of atrocious non stop rain and high winds last summer in our 1500HH Aztec so this Gelert should be OK.

If you get the 2007 colourway Rocky 3 it's only £26.99 (£31.94 delivered) or the 2008 colourway for £27.99 + shipping.

Just put ours up this evening and the Rocky 4 is very roomy; would comfortably sleep 3.

Hope this is helpful.
