Hello everone,

I'm a newbie to UKCS, have been reading posts for a while, and you've all made me smile lots.  I've bitten the bullet and joined.  Also have just purchased our new tent, after several years of "I'm not going to do another holiday in that old leaky tent" and a season of waiting for a Vango Killington to arrive i finally have a new shiny tent. Thought I was sold on an Outwell Vemont, but was swayed by the Idaho XL they are much better in the flesh than on line, where to be honest i didn't really notice them.  We even bought a carpet, which i didn't think we would do in a million years, but they made it feel so cosy, when i looked at it in the rain.

We've even booked 3 weeks in Devon for the summer, My god i'm getting organised in my old age.  We're going to test it out this weekend and I'm soo excited.

If you have seen it cope with rain, well, what more can be said, enjoy it when the sun comes out!

hi Wellinever, congrats on your new tent.  Once you have tested it, why not submit your thoughts on the tent for others to read if possible please?

Try and stop me Ratty,

I'm running out of people to tell that i've got a new tent!  Their eyes glaze over and they start backing away from me.  I'll send a report in next week, what's the weather meant to be like this weekend?
