Hi, I've just got myself a Khios Xl. Went to erect it today as a practice run and couldn’t believe how unhelpful the instructions are. I would really appreciate any advice that anyone has to give. It is the 4 man tent. It has 2 yellow poles 2 grey poles and 2 black poles and unbelievably the instructions don’t tell you which poles are for where.

I don't know about your tent, but usually if the poles are different colours, the ends of the sleeves they go in have a matching bit of the same colour on them.

Another thing to look for is how long the poles are. The longest poles will be for the longest sleeve or main part of the tent. Shorter poles may be for bedroom pods, and if there are shorter ones again, they might be for the outer edges of the bedrooms.

Sorry if that's stating the obvious, but all I can suggest.

Have you got a link to a website with a picture of the tent, maybe I can help work it out from that?

thank you for stating the obvious. I hadn't thought about the colours matching. I will try and put it up again tomorrow and have a look. We tried erecting it in our local park when a few helpful drunks thought the would come and help us , so we left earlier than expected. You have been a great help. Cheers Anne
