Has anyone had any problems with campsites accepting the Vermont L due to its size??
We have spent ages trying to narrow down what family tent to buy and have set our hearts on the Vermont L. We really like the porch area and i have already imagined myself sitting there in the evening with a bottle or two (or 3 etc).

We have the Vermont XL and this year we have managed to find a site in every area we want to visit. Some sites we contacted wanted to charge us extra, some even double and one or two couldn`t take us at all, but we kept looking. We always make a shortlist of sites in the area we want to go and mail them all asking if they will take us. We have never not been able to visit somewhere we wanted to due to not being able to find a site.
Previous to the Vermont XL we had the Nebraska XXL and we never had any problems finding a site with that either. We are finding the Vermont XL is more widely accepted though due to it`s tunnel shape.
As long as you are prepared to look about for sites, possibly not get your first choice every time (but often you do) and occasionally pay a little extra, you won`t really have a problem with the Vermont L IMHO
Sorry, i don't have a useful response but was wondering the same thing about this tent whilst i drooled over it this morning at my local campstore. I absolutely love the look of this tent, yep the porch looks good, but what about the walk in wardrobe??!!

Yeah- it looks like a fab tent. I know a lot people go on about the montana but by the time you buy the montana and the porch extension it's not looking much cheaper than the Vermont. And where's the walk in wardrobe on the monty, i ask you.......say no more!!
