After deciding to buy a new tent this year, we have been having a good look around and have took a shine to the outwell montana 6 and the sprayway valley 6. It is only for four of us but we decided we need the extra space and headroom, also a sewn in groundsheet is a must. After reading the different reviews on here I'm a bit confused as to whether we should be getting a cotton or polycotton tent and whether we need to waterproof it or will it already be waterproofed, and most importantly does anyone already have one of these tents and what do they think? Are they worth paying that bit extra?
Any advice would be greatfully recieved, thanks

We have just been having the debate since we have just come back from a very windy bank holiday break (even though we only lasted one night), and we have had major damage to our Gelert tent. We have decided on the Outwell Monty 6 after reading all the reviews on this site, the Outwell came out tops for us.
Yeah I've been outdoor world in warrington today and thats where I saw the sprayways but have also been in the montana 6 with a carpet at go outdoors. I like the looks of them both but think the carpet in the outwell montana has swayed it for me. I'll have to get a roof box for all the extras I've spotted today too. Thanks for the advice, cath

The sprayway has got some poor reviews on here. See if you can find them to help you decide. I would always go Outwell.
just added my experiences of the Sprayway on this thread
