I am fairly new to camping and recently purchased a Gelert Lokon Vario 6 tent. It had it's first outing this weekend and although I am very pleased with the tent I had a nightmare with the ground sheet (2 piece) and how to peg the the tent sheet to the groung. Firstly there are 2 different pegs supplied, normal  and ones with a circular top, what are the uses for each? The ground sheets don't appear to attach to anything and there was no instructions on how to peg the very bottom flap of the tent. I tried pegging it inside and also outside but it never seemed to look correct.

The weather at the weekend didn't help as the tent managed to flood 3 nights on the run. I'm sure it was down to way I pegged the tent out.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

We have a gelert and the pegs with the circular top are for the groundsheet.

The groundsheet is in 2 parts because of the  front panel that can be moved back to create a porch so the larger bit goes at the back and the smaller bit at the front. Then when you take the front back you can remove the small groundsheet.

Does this make sense ? lol

I think the flaps should go inside and be tucked under the groundsheet BUT... some of the holes in the groundsheet cover the flaps so cant be pegged down without making a hole in the flaps but it doesnt matter... just dont peg it down.

Now I am confused too lol

Hope this helps

Karin
