We are very new to camping and bought our first tent, an Outwell Arizona L, last autumn.  We have so far used it on 3 ocassions and, although overall we are very happy with it, we do have a couple of queries that I was hoping people may be able to advise upon.
1 - Although quite simple to pitch, the 'tunnel' of material at the top of the tent which 2 of the 3 poles need to pass through is extremely tight.  Although it is starting to loosen it does hinder us considerably when pitching and taking down.  Is this a fault or it is meant to be so tight?

2 - It seems to be VERY cold in the tent overnight and there is a draught coming underneath, particularly around the sleeping area where there are no mudflaps.  Is there any way we can reduce the draught?
3 - We have some upright poles to hold up the front canopy but have found it to be quite unstable in even a slight wind.  Any tips on how to improve stability?
Any advice gratefully received.

Hope not to be patronising, but are you using guy ropes when you peg out your front canopy? If not this should solve your problems. If you are then you might need to reposition your guys.

Hi there, thanks for the reply.  We did use the guy ropes when we put the canopy up, maybe we did not have them positioned correctly though.  We have been away this week and could not use the canopy as we were pitched on a narrow terrace and cars needed to pass our tent.  However, we noticed other canopies up around the site that did seem to flap around quite a lot in the wind, so maybe we were expecting a little too much stability!
