hi after much debate and online research we went to look at tents yesterday and bought an outwell nevada m. it is not as big as we were originally going for. we have a 14 year old and a 2 year old and just wondered how other nevada owners found it for size? we didn't want to go for anything too big as its mainly just weekends we go away for. i am slightly concerned that there won't be enough room for all our baggage!
we are also thinking about buying the side canopy and wondered if its a good addition to the tent? i have seen this for £79 (2008) or £59 for the 2007 model. is there any difference between the two apart from the price?

hi gary is that the extension and not the canopy? i am a bit confused about them but found something online about the canopy fitting it but not the extension???
I have not tried but the nevada side extension is to wide for th m. Most other side extensions as far as i can see may work. The fabric that goes over the top of the tent needs to run over the middle and front poles. So the fabric that goes over the front pole needs to be close to the pole on the door side and the fabric that goes over the middle pole needs to be close the this pole but on the rear side, if its to wide it will get in the way of the front door.

I too have settled on the Nevada M after much deliberation but have not yet committed to buying. I was just curious where you got it from and for how much? and also whether or not you bought the carpet/footprint?
I'm buying for myself and girlfriend and to be fair it's probably more room than we need. It's difficult for me to say whether you will be OK or not depending on how much 'baggage' you plan on taking =)
Just another friendly word for you as well Nevada M's are as rare as the provervial rocking horse manure..I ordered 12 from Outwell last week, only given 4 and told no more to the end of the month..so you may need to get a deposit down somewhere or if you find one get it quick..Great tent
hi we got the nevada from http://www.kingsmuircampingcentre.co.uk in forfar. we were able to go and see it up so that was helpful. we paid £190 for the tent (he has reduced it from £210) and bought the carpet for £36 (10% discount cos we bought tent). if its just 2 of you it will be great - not too big but plenty of space. we are putting ours up in the garden tonight for a trial and may go away at weekend weather depending. hope you manage to get one
