Thanks Ruth - I think the bathtub would be the next best thing to a SIG. Would like to see one at a show really to see what they are like as can't really picture it. I am going to the Reading display this weekend so hopefully might get to see a Bathtub type there.
Hi Angie - How did you get on at the weekend have you chosen a tent yet. I am still considering my options. After camping this weekend in our Lakeside have decided we might need 3 bedrooms. At the moment I share with my daughter and hubby/son are together but now the kids are older we think their own bedrooms might be a good idea to give them a bit more room for all their junk!!! So thats another thing to add to the list.

Yes! Decision made! Forget the tunnels, we're having an Outwell Hartford XL. We did own one years ago, found it too big and didn't like the 'inner first' putting up. Now the children are bigger and we like the separate pod bedrooms (3 in the XL) and even better, the Hartford has been redesigned this year, all-in-1 errection (sorry!) and extra poles on the bedroom pods so they don't 'sag' anymore. The entrance tunnel is bigger, we can cook there and the windows are bigger so you don't feel hidden away (ie. I can still be nosy!) We walked back through tunnels and just felt the Hartford was ironically spacious enough yet with a cosy feel. Plus the carpet and we don't need to buy extras ...... except the Kids room!!! We saw one for the first time and it's just fab, really brightens the inside and the children just loved it! I did say I would be guided by them and that definitly is a purchase. I've found the best prices (I hope!) on the internet and will put in an order this week - just need to put my frame tent on Ebay first!
Really happy, it was great to actually wander around and pace them out and it feels just right !!!

Well done on your decision Angie. (What a relief!!!)Its great to look around them isn't it. You just can't tell from a brochure or the internet. I am going to the Reading display at the weekend for a bit more tent confusion!!!. The Hartford is a nice tent. Hubby doesn't want a pod tent and is set on a more compact tunnel so my search still goes on but I have seen the Hartford up and if size was no issue then would have really liked it. Really spacious inside but with a cosy feel. Did you see any Royal tents up at the weekend as I do like the layouts of these and they have the 3 bedrooms I think? We were camping in Devon this weekend and I was looking at all the tents on the site to see if there were any I liked the look of (hope nobody saw me gawping)
I haven't seen any Royals Lynne. We went back to Attwoolls on the Sat for a refresher as we'd pretty much decided, so didn't make the extra journey down to Highbridge on Sunday, instead spent longer on the beach at Weston much to the childrens' relief! Someone else said that campsites are a great showcase place, quite often the ones I like are years out of date! As we had a Hartford before, we know it was good quality and stood up to huge downpours when we were in Sussex, just hope the quality has remained the same. The Vango Amazon 600 is a good sized tunnel with 3 bedrooms, sun canopy etc?
