Hi, i wrote to vango about my gamma 350 and explained the problem with the groundsheet i got a response back within a week asking me to send the tent back to them so they could inspect it, a couple of weeks later they wrote back saying that they would replace the tent with a tent of a similar value we chose the sigma 300+. cannot fault vango service, any one that has a groundsheet that literally falls in bits write to the manufacturer and complain they might be more helpful than you think!!!

I know this thread has been bumped but I had the same problem with my V500, It did get exchanged just paid the difference in price ,hence now have the tamor as the V500 had finished production other then go outdoors. It was tents that were produce at a certain time! The difference in groundsheet is very noticable it seems to have a rubberised coating now, whereas before you could manouver the weave of the groundsheet. (I did post at the time regarding this) but hopefully this will help if anyone else has a similar problem.

I had a Vango Gamma 450 with exactly the same problem of the blue groundsheet sealant flaking off. I emailed Vango, returned the tent for inspection and they replaced with a Beta 450.
Problem is, after several years, the same thing is happening to the Beta 450!
I'll be emailing Vango again to see if they'll replace the replacement!

The value of a forum, yes it's good that Vango honour their lifetime guarantee, but I wonder how many didn't know about that and threw away the old tent?

The lifetime warranty they gave a number of years ago was "the lifetime of the product" so if it wears out that could well be the life time of the product.
