We've got this for our Wynnster, used it a few times now and its really good, makes a nice space to sit in of an evening, and good for keeping the rain off the door.
The only problem we've found is the elasticated bit which sits on top of the tent can ping off, this really only happens if the wind picks up ( which was all the time at easter!!!!!! )
i have the canopy for my diablo, and had the same issue with the elastic and it popping off.
i carefully cut the elastic by means of a very small hole and sharp blade and placed the canopy a bit further back on the tent. i attached two extra guy ropes so one set pulls directly down and the other backwards at about 45 deg angle.
this did the trick, i think the manufacturers were relying too much on the elastic holding it in place.
if you look at my gallery you can just make out my modification.

I have the diablo 400, would the large canopy be too big do you think?
in a word no.
it adds a lot of very usable space to the front of your tent approximately 2 m+. this is perfect for cooking, or sitting out in and eating, if the weather is a bit blowey for example
if you are in the thought process, then i would rule out the standard one, as you really do gain nothing.
for the price you pay, £35 ish depending on the colour you want, i think it is, as my daughter would say "a no brainer"

Hi, I've used this canopy on the Vango venture 500 which has a similar sized porch entrance & it made a massive difference. It fit ok with a little adaption here and there but it think it would be perfect for the Diablo 400.
