Hi all been away last week in North Yorks, Howling gale and torrential rain but the Minnesota took it all in its stride no leaks and firm as a rock in the 40mph winds. The minnie has taken a bit of stick lately and we were concerned as ours a 2007 model hadn't been tested in real bad weather but came through with flying colours.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
we have a monty 4 ( had it 3 or 4 yrscan't remember which) anyway apart from my OH plotting how to get out in the middle of the night if it collapsed it was fine.
Outwell seem to have a bad press for leaks but I've never had a problem.
I never had any doubt about the stability of the MInny, which is why I chose it over the Nevada M, it's just that canopy pole over the side door (see my gallery); we had strong gusts and a LOT of rain in May and the tent stayed put and water-tight. But as not everyone has experienced the problem with the side door maybe it's a quality-control issue rather than a fundamental design flaw.
I must confess we left a day early cos my OH wasn't sleeping kept worrying about the tent blowing away in the night. I on the other hand take a short course of death and don't hear a thing.
We came on the Monday and left the following Sat. Weather cheered up a bit by Friday. Have to admit that we sat up at 2.30am thurs morn when the wind was howling wondering if to leave in morning but we decided to stick it out. Glad we did now.
