Just come back from a weekend away ,we took our Sunncamp Odessy XL .Now as much as I really like this tent,it got a bit annoying when the breeze picked up and the end bonked down on my head ,fortunately the wine did not spill !! the tent tended to wobble in the breeze but the guys remained pinned ok and it wasnt about to take off.But we're not talking gale force - only a bit windy - the site is called Sea Breeze - speaks for itself really.

So I got to thinking that maybe I should treat us to another weekend tent that is more wind friendly if you get my drift  if we go to more exposed sites.Big enough for 3 plus a dog and easy and quick to pitch.

I did notice that there was an outwell dome that didnt seem to jelly wobble as much I think it was an Arizona.

So any ideas - nothing too expensive but with a bit of height and a porch.

.

Sorry to tell you this but the better the tent the more it costs

My recommendation would be one of the khyam QE ridgidomes, the central dome has the strength, the shape is designed to deflect the wind and it is quick erect.

Thank you .

Yeah I agree with you oldham , we already have a Cabanon frame tent that withstands all weathers ,we always take this for longer breaks .I only plan weekends away if the weather looks good. I was just wondering if anyone might have any recommendations for tents that perform better in a  sea breeze.I couldnt justify spending too much on another tent for the occassional weekend .

There is a camping exhibition soon near me in Wokingham but unfortunately they dont have outwells ,but will have Vango;s so I'll check out the yukon ,thanks joe and rich.

I noticed a sunncamp tarn 300 ,does anyone have one of these.?

Any other recommendations ?

I
