Hello everyone. I have just joined ukcampsite and am very excited at the prospect of become a camper!!

We are about to go and buy our first tent but are struggling between Outwell Montana 6 and Kyam Quebec 6.

We'd love to hear some negative comments on both models. Any other suggestions very welcome too!!

Having read all the reviews on this site, we also opted for a Montana 6. After googling around we found a good deal with Outdoorworld.co.uk

The tent (2008 model) £289.00

Kids Bedroom  was only £39.00

Footprint G/Sheet just £15.00

We even went for the front extension at £79.00.

The prices for the accessories are higher if you do not buy them at the same time as the tent.

Hoping to take our two children 5 & 2  to Studland (dorset) or similar area in the next week or two for a weekend camping. Any family site reccommendations gratefully recieved.

I have a new Monty 6 and we used it for the 1st time last week, and I can't sing it praises enough. I have never seen the other tent to comment, but have a look at the tent reviews http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/ as these may help.

I suppose if you wanted a negative its that it comes in a large bag and the poles in another bag, so it does take up a lot of room, but worth it when you see it up :)
