Well I have won an Auction for the 2008 Vango Yukon 800 for £160.00 + carriage, from Complete Outdoors. Had the confo that it has been despatched today and due to arrive on Thursday.... Yippee!
I think I have got an absolute bargain...
I am hoping to pitch this weekend and will let you all know...
I think you will love the Yukon. I have the 600 and its great and you paid less for your 800 than I did for mine!!
As to the canopy there seems to be some debate as to whether or not the 2008 version of the large canopy is OK for the Vango tunnels which don't have an extended porch bit at the side door (if thats where you want to put it rather than at the end).
The 2007 version definitely isn't suitable - see the pitching instructions for it on the Vango webs site itself. Rather annoyingly they don't seem to have such instructions for their 2008 version. Some sites seem to say it is OK i.e. Camping Megastore, others that it isn't. I emailed Megastore about it but they didn't answer.
I ended up buying the Vango Tunnel Canopy (with the steel poles) which definitely is OK but not as big, no windows and quite a lot more expensive.
If you find out the answer to this mystery then please do let me know...
I have just ordered a Yukon 800 for £189 + p&p and thought I was getting a good deal. Mine is also due on Thursday and I am praying for good weather this weekend as I am desperate to have a play in the garden!!!

Having looked at the 2 types of canopy, I believe the Tunnel Canopy is the correct one. Mrs Nutty went to have a look at our local tent display and they had both types there. She saw the one on the Yukon and the other one (with windows) on the Kura.
The cheaper one with the windows will suit most dome/tunnel tents that actually have a porch/extended porch. The one with steel poles is for the tunnel tents without a porch, as the flysheet literally goes over the roof of the tent and guys up the other side. So it looks like I am on the look out for the expensive one... Shame really, as the one with the windows looks really nice.
------------- Regards to all, Nutty Roll on the Weekends!
