We have an Idaho and one of the bedroom pods unclips and comes out completly and the kids room clips in, takes no time at all and our girls loved it, even our friends were jelous.
The original room just upclips and rolls up for you to put the kidsroom in, i'm not sure if it will fold with it already in as i take it out to pack up, only takes acouple of minutes, very easy to put in and take out. Hope this helps.
We have a Monty 6 but we are not sure if this is the new or old model (even through we had a tag on the bag when we bought it in January saying 'Kids room ready') but the problem I foresee is that if we did get a kids room, I assumed that one of the rooms on the double back sleeping pod would zip away and I could just simply zip the kids room to it - so half would be kids room and half would be normal white pod BUT the rooms, It seems don't totally zip away (and completely separate) so how does this work (you mentioned you just rolled it up?...
2) Are there 2 styles e.g one that takes up jus half of the pod and another that completely replaces the existing pod?
Cheers in advance for your expert knowledge!!!!

You just unzip the sides then roll down the right hand side pod, it has todgles to keep it neatly stashed away. The kids room doesn't zip onto the existing inner it hangs next to it. There were some toggles that in restrospect we could have used to "join" the two together but it was fine anyway.
We unzipped the sides of each room a little so we could get into and out of the kids room at night without going through the front.
I think there's only one sort for the Monty that replaces once of the two inner rooms. I think the other type of room is for pod type tents like the Hartford range where it replaces the entire (smaller) inner pod.
