Hi I'm looking for a tent that will do me for two or three nights at a time, and I will look to camp in decent weather where possible. Requirements as follows:-
1. Sleep two adults and two kids
2. Storage/living space should the weather turn!
3. Fairly easy to erect
My budget is around 80 quid and I've seen a couple of possibilities, the main one being the Khyam Sherpa 4 for 59 quid, which seems to get decent reviews and seems good at the price.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi stato, if you're considering the Sherpa 4 does that mean that you're considering pretty lightweight camping at least in the first instance eg sleeping on mats (foam or self inflating), sitting on the floor, cooking outside? MT

Angie - I had clocked th san remo 400 after posting and must say that it look a good buy - can see it for 89 quid on one site.
I am kind of tempted with the Halfords package. I know that the quality won't be as good but the layout is right (separate bedrooms preferable but generally dearer it seems)and I just wonder if it do the job for fair weather weekends. Any thoughts?
Merry - Weight is not critical as I have a decent size car and will drive to campsites. Just thought the Sherpa looked a decent buy.
Ideally, for 4 people you should be looking at a 6 berth tent - as a general rule you always add 2 onto the number of people who will use the tent to get the berth size you need.
The Sherpa is a good tent for 2 or 3 but would be very cramped for 4 and it only has a height of 140cm so you won't be able to stand up.
Some of the Halfords tents only have a HH rating of 1200mm which isn't very good really - you want at least 2000mm (especially if you plan to camp during the great British summer!)
We have just returned after our first camping trip (in tent). Our tent was ordered online and never arrived in time, so as not to disappoint kids (and us) we ran out and bought a cheap Lidl tent. Well much to my surprise it stood up to some terrential rain (4000HH). It wasn't windy so cannot comment there. But for 90 euro it was fine. Supposed to be 6 person but suitable for four ( 1 in end berth and 3 in other). Living area ok for weekend use. It's dims. were over 5m by 2.5m.
