Hello to you all, Firstly what a great site this is, loads of info. After reading all the reviews about the monty 6 , we decided to have one, that was after looking at about a million others, well it seemed it,
Just returned from a week in Ilfracombe with it,we just cant wait to go again, loads of room for 4 adults,i think we are going to get the extention for it,make life a lot easier for cooking, anyone else think this?
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Althought I have the Minny not the Monty, I would say that I've probably seen more Montanas with the extension that without. You certainly don't want to be cooking inside the tent so unless you have a kitchen tent or are happy cooking in open air then the extension is a good buy and, by all accounts, much better than the canopy.
It also gives shelter from the elements so that you can sit outside the living area of the tent but still sheltered from the sun or, more likely, the rain.
Yep, I agree with Former Scout, we have the Monty 6 with the extention and I have to say that it is brilliant. We end up spending most of the daylight hours sat under its cover, even (comfortably) in downpours! Of course all of our cooking is done in the extention as well, go for it!

Hi All,not sure of this is the right place to post this but I have just picked up a Montana 6 for £199 from Go Outdoors, sale started today but each branch has only got a few in.
if I were you , I would post that as a new topic! that is a total bargain and many would be grateful for the info! we paid £300 in Jan for ours and I thought that was good!!
If anyone wants a Monty 6 2006 version (without the slightly bigger side porchy bit), we're selling ours, only used 4 times - family getting bigger - going to get a mont 12 instead. Brilliant tent. Its on the free ads section.
