Hi Myself and my family began camping this year and have thoroughky enjoyed our first season!! (Although we are contemplating Lower Lacon again for halloween weekend!!)

Having purchased our tent from Argos half price we are definately looking to upgrade to one with sewn in groundsheet as this has been an absolute bug bear of the summer with all the rain that we have had to endure!!

We think we have decided on the Outwell Hartford XL as we recently went camping with some friends who had one and thought it was an ideal upgrade......however.....I am led to believe that when the camping season ends we will probably be able to purchase this cheaper than if i buy it now. The one we have would do us till next spring with only one more outing planned!!! Therefore I am wondering if anyone can shed any light on this and who usually offers the best sales and when do they start??

Like you we started this year and had to upgrade to larger tent.We bought our Hartford XL from Allweathers £275 delivered. If you look through previous threads its seems that as with everything, tent prices are due to rise next year (cost of production etc) So thats why we bought now. Took it away last w/end and loved it. Glad we chose that one in end. If you do go for it I would recommend a footprint. It protected ours from the worst of the mud and added an extra layer of insulation

It is said by thoses in the know that Outwell  (? not sure if it was just them) prices are going up about 33% next year. There have been a couple of threads along these lines . If I can find one of the threads I'll post you a link
