Probably a stupid question but have an Vango Orchy 500 which has got 2 split poles (one from wind when pitched... one from trying to pitch in the wind!!)..need an 11mm diameter but local shop is having trouble getting some Vango Powerflex ones, I have only found single sections and would like a few 'spares' to take with us in October...the question is can I replace sections with a different make pole section ( such as Outwell) or even better if I replaced sections with steel wrapped pole from another company would this make them stronger in the wind ?

No you don't have to use their own poles, as long as the pole is the same diameter and has the metal lbits on the ends you can buy any pole and cut it to length with a junior hacksaw.
