Hi, wonder if someone can advise me. We are newbie campers and have only been once and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the dreadful weather, waterlogged site etc. We had bought a Vango Killington 400 and its a great tent, waterproof, sig, two bedrooms and large living area. However, I'm unable to pitch it by myself, my husband is not well and unable to help. It took me nearly 2 hours to put up with my son and really don't want to repeat it. So no option but to sell it, first of all does anyone know how much I can expect for it? I have a large canopy also. Next thing is can anyone advise on a tent for me to buy that might be more suitable, we need; two bedrooms, big enough for two large single airbeds, sig, living area (can be smaller than the Killington) suitable either for a Vango canopy or alternative. Main thing is though easy to put up and do-able by myself. Thanks for any help offered. Alison

With regards to selling, I would keep an eye on e-bay, just to get a rough idea as to the price to ask, and for a new one...hmmmm..... those Quechua tents look quite good and people on here say they're brilliant and easy to put up solo, but noticed you need living space etc...
We have a Killington 900 so I know what you mean; it can be quite labour intensive.
I am by no means an expert, but I believe that tunnel tents can be easier to erect than dome tents and will also give you some living space. If you go to the Vango website then you can see videos of the tents being put up, so that can give you some ideas.
I can get my massive Aruba frame tent up on my own in under an hour and although I don't reccomend this, it does indicate that a small frame tent may be the way forward for you.
Another alternative is one of those Cabanon pyramid things: although they have a large floor area they are simple to put up.
Anything big that involves threading flexible pole thro' tunnels and forcing pins into the end of the poles, this includes most tunnels and domes is best avoided to my way of thinking!

We have just got a Vango Tamor 500 (for 85 pounds) as a weekend tent.
We were very pleased with it... I put it up on my own in about 30 mins (this was the first time i had pitched it) and I'm sure i could do it quicker. Supposed to sleep 5 ,but that would be cosy, loads of room for 4 though. It has an optional bedroom divider too .... doesn't have a SIG in living area though.
Maybe your canopy would fit as its another Vango?
