Currently looking to get my family tent in the sales, i have a family of 4 (Children 5 & 2). We cant decide which tent is the best for us to buy, I'll put the prices down of the tents i have found.

Outwell Montana 6 - £275
Outwell Idaho XL - £289
Sunncamp Prism - £99

First of all the Idaho seems the perfect tent for us i love the way it is built and the layout, but it maybe to big for campsites(any help?). This is my current 1st choice i think but just need a little guidance.

Then there is the Monty 6 everyone knows this tent and we all know about it, went and looked at one the other day and liked it. Just dont think it is as good as the Idaho but i have never seen the idaho in the flesh so cant compare fairly. And this also weighs alot more than the Idaho(12kgs), Why does it weigh so much more?

And then there is the Prism i love the look of this tent, looks straight forward to put up and is so cheap. But i think it could be just a bit to small for my needs.

So any help and guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The only way to be fully sure is to see all of them. We have the Monty and it's perfect for us. Funnily enough it was the one we liked most when looking online before we bought.

I found the Prism to be quite small inside. The way it slopes at the sides made me feel slightly claustrophobic and OH is very tall so could not stand up except for in the middle.

It is a very good price though. Have fun searching.
