Hi all,
Does anybody know where we can get a sun valley 6 as our local supplier has sold out and we are finding it hard to find one at around £300.
The season is looming and we are getting itchy feet!!
We'll be grateful of any replies.
Thanks Claire.

I have had a look online but everywhere seems to be sold out. Loads of people on here (me included) bought them at about £300 because as a discontinued tent it was great value.
Sorry i can't be more help. Maybe try ringing a few retailers, they may have one tucked away that isn't showing up online,
Claud

Sorry, I just sold mine for £250 with the footprint. Only used it once for a 5 night holiday where it never rained.
I had it on the free ads on here for about 3 days before it sold. Only sold as we bought a SV8
Going to be hard to get a hold of one as they are discontinued. If I come across one I will post.------------- Keely :-))

If you can't find one the sunncamp global could be an alternative worth looking at . Similar size but has steel poles . Quality is as good as outwell imo . ------------- Debbie

Hi,
I've just bought a Maryland XL from Camperite and he had some SV6s (2008 models) in stock. They're not displayed on the website but if you call he may be able to help you out.

thank you thank you thank you. i so wanted a sun valley 6, nothing else would do, and they were sold out everywhere. so glad i logged on last night as now i have one of my own winding it's way to me!
I am wondering though whether the dedicated footprint (if you can still find one) is that much better than just a tarp cut to size. Likewise carpet, can i cut any tent carpet to size or does the dedicated carpet attach so you don't trip over the edges?

Hi Jennie,
My pleasure, the dedicated carpet does not attach, for the SV8 it has a hole where the 2 berth pod attaches to SIG. I believe the SV6 carpet doesn't have the hole.
As for footprint, we have purchased one for the Maryland XL (due to it's..ahem...size), however for the SV8 we found that one of the B&Q tarps was about the right size.
Hope that helps.
------------- Cheers,
Pete.

Jennie if you can't get a SV6 carpet then the Montana 12 carpet fits it perfectly.
Remember that both tents are now discontinued so you should be able to haggle on the prices.
As for the footprints - we just bought a SV8 footprint for £19 including postage.
There are SV6 footprints about - again haggle on the price.------------- Keely :-))

A tip which is posted on the equipment page, Lidl have a 4m x 5m tarpaulin on sale this week for £6.87 which is the precise size you need for the SV6 as a footprint. (It'll save you cutting a larger one down, and means all the sides are seemed etc).
