I don't know if anyone can help me here, but I am looking to swap my Aspen 700DLX for something a little lighter such as the Horizon 8.
As part of my job I have accrued approx. £500 of vouchers and would really like to use them to get the new tent. The vouchers range from Amazon to the usual "Love2Shop" high-street vouchers. There are no specific outdoor shops listed however.
The problem I have is that I cannot find anywhere to get a Horizon 8. Amazon have the 6 (at the price of an 8!) and a few other tents, whereas the likes of Argos and Halfords on sell their own brands.
Does anyone know of any big high-street names that I might not have thought of? I know Woolies definitely used to sell Gelert tents!
I don't even mind paying over the odds as its not real money!

I know you said the horizon , but amazon also have the vango tigris 800, vango colorado 8 and the khyam ontario 8 . Are these in the same size /weight/price range ?
Ooh yes, I saw M&s vouchers being sold on ebay , £50 worth of vouchers went for £46 , mad or what? . then again its a bit of a risk on ebay , they may go for much less than you wanted.

Rhondda reg is looking for one for his friends. he is in south wales , but if you could pack the tent in 2 seperate parcels because of the weight you could courier it quite cheaply.
The Vango Tigris as mentioned by beefysmum above is a lovely tent and very similar to the Horizon in size and layout, was looking at one only the other day at my local dealers and nearly bought one on the spot!
If you have LOVE2SHOP vouchers i'm sure Wilkinsons accept them AND they sell Gelert tents also.
you could try to contact them and see if they have what you were looking for??????

Thanks for the help! My wife is set on the Horizon 8, however I like the Khyam Ontario 8 and the Tigris also looks nice.
I had considered selling them on ebay, but as you say you may end up with a fraction of the value. Had a look at the Wilkinson website, but can only see a few Gelert tents - might give them a call!

Just had a look at the Wilkinsons camping gear, selected "most relevant" search & guess what came up first, a tent, No, a sleeping bag , No ,a cooker , No,what was it then, a bl00dy water proof poncho, says it all really.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
