Wanting to buy the vango orchy (after being seriously let down on an agreed private sale - why do people do that????) does anybody know of any deals at the mo? cheapest i've found is £179
Also do you think theres much diff between 500 & 600 - haven't managed to see them pitched yet, hoping there are at the yeomans exibition at Sandiway this weekend.
Desperate to go away at easter & with small children think the SIG will give us abit more warmth - usually 1st camp is at end of may
your guidance (as always) is much appreciated
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Have seen the Orchy 500 pitched in the new mauveish clour. It depends on how many the tent is for. The 600 has a better sized sleeping area by 30cm wide (3m compared to 2.7m on the 500). I did like the look of the 500 but would want a bigger sleeping are for 4 (2 double air beds).
Have you looked at the Vango Tigris, Icarus or the Easycamp Licata.
Hope it helps...
------------- Regards to all, Nutty Roll on the Weekends!
hi sekn 410 ...stewey her we have last years vango orchy 600 in grape dove colour , lovelt tent but if it was me i would deffo go for 600 little bit more room in living area but bedroom size i think its the same lenght and width as the 500 just bigger porch , even though there only me n missus in it its surprizing just how much stuff we take in porch ...happy hunting
We have a 600 for 4 of us, and I cannot imagine squeezing our stuff into a smaller bedroom.....and I think we`re very minimalist!!
OH is 6`4" and he loves the tent too.
We have bought the large sun canopy as the only problem we had with it in the torrential "summer" was the driving rain came in when we were going in and out of the tent, and we didn`t want to store wet waterproofs in the living area.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
