What about a cotton pyramid?

Cool in the summer, warmer when it is cooler

Check my profile for an example

It is large enough for 6 and has a SIG

Standing height for anyone under 2.5 m lol

Also mega easy to pitch

Just an idea

Angie

I'll second that; our Guadeoupe was the easiest tent to pitch yet was comfortable, weatherproof and dependable.

Tks former scout for your comments.  We did look at the Vermont L but decided against it as the bedrooms although in total they sleep 6, they were split into two pods - one large (4 person) and 1 smaller one (2 person).  The Vermont XL had three pods each for 2 people which gave us scope for us to have a hanging rail between the two pods or have three pods incase one of our teenagers brought a friend or my two teenagers could even have a pod each (no arguments!).

We really wanted to see the Florida 6 but the showroom didn't have it just to compare with the Vermont XL as it looks the same but slightly smaller dimensions (bit like the Vermont L).  Well its either the Vermont XL or maybe the Florida 6 if we get to see it.. eventually.

Thanks for all your comments your obviously a pro at this camping lark!

Pro? Not really. But we live in an age when everyone has a right to their opinion; whether it's an informed one or not.

You've clearly thought about the reasons why to go for the XL rather than the L. Either way it's a good tent and, if you decide to go for a sixth let me have this one!!
