We have just bought the Extension/Canopy for the Hartford L (2007)  We were just wondering if the extensions are a good purchase in general?  I've looked on the reviews bit, but I always seem to focus on the bad reviews   I thought it would be better to hear a few stories etc.

Who owns an Outwell Extension?  Is it any good and was it worth buying?  Do they hold up well in rain/wind?

I'm hoping for good comments  because its going to be delivered soon.  I've gone the backwards way of doing this

We have one and love it.  We keep cooker fridge and chairs in it and sit out in the evenings.  I think its brill.  Needs pegging down well.  We use Delta pegs and keep rechecking the guys esp if windy.

Hi, we've got an Outwell universal side canopy which we put on the front/door of our tent. As above we use deltas to hold it down and haven't had any problems in the wind - other than flapping noise. It's great to be able to open the front door (after it's been raining) and for it to not be wet, likewise it offers a dry area to cook under. Take a look at my profile photos for our example.

Cheers,

Pete.

Thank you for all your replies!!   You've all put my mind at rest, I was beginning to think we'd made the wrong decision lol.  Now I can't wait to pitch up and try it out!!  We were going to buy a utilty tent, but thought a canopy/extension would be a better option.  Can't wait now!
