I've just posted my review of the SunnCamp Global 600. Great tent, copy of Montana 6, etc, etc. Unfortunately after a quick search of google I fear they are all sold out and because they are discontinued, there will be no more.

Shame realy because it is a great tent (as is the Montana 6) and for £250 (inc extension) it was within reach of most budgets.

Anyway to the point. What is the next best thing if you can't afford a Montana 6 but like the layout? I have friends in the market for a new tent and they were impressed with my Global.

Hi

The Royal Bordeaux 6 select SG and Royal Avignon 6 Select SG are both very similar layouts to these tents. The Bordeaux is quite pricey this year but the Royal Avignon is an old model so is a bit cheaper. It is available below for £289 (I have seen it on other sites for £349 so this is a good price.

 http://www.jacksons-camping.co.uk/royal/royal-sg-tents.htm

We have the 4 berth version of the Avignon select SG and its a great tent and we are really pleased with it. There are a couple of reviews in the tent review section (including ours) but there doesn't seem to be any for the 6 berth version. Link below to the Royal website for more info.

Hope this helps

I'm sitting here with a real feeling of mixed emotions.

One - sheer relief and dare I say a little bit of smugness  that we bought ours 3 weeks ago (yes, yes, yes!).

Two - I genuinly feel sorry for the people (that I don't know!!!???) that won't be able to buy one now cus it is such a brilliant tent.

I'll keep looking out on tinternet for any stock anywhere.........just in case

I like the look of the Royal Toledo http://www.waudbys.co.uk/products/details/17667.html

Not seen it in the flesh , but it looks very similar in layout to the sunncamp eden and sunvalley 8 2007 model with closed in front porch. I have the eden and 2007 sunvalley, and I think they are excellent designs

Thanks guys, some good sugestions. For me the Global has everything the average family needs but for sensible money. Somewhere to go to the toilet (esential for todlers), somewhere to cook, somewhere to sleep, and somewhere to sit.
