Why is it then that some are worse than others? I have owned some Cabanon tents where the inner clips are no problem at all, others which have nearly taken my finger ends off whilst trying to attach and detach!

Wear? Use? Different batches of clips? Temperature of the poles? Whether you're tired or not? Angle of attack? Who knows....my Conway inner tent ones are fine, the ceiling liner ones are pure bastards. But then again I think I've only put the ceiling liners up twice.
Hi, agreed they are very difficult, but once you've got 'em where you want 'em, leave them there when you take down the tent, remove the bedrooms by the elastic bands only leaving the clips in place, it makes next time easier. Also it makes life easier if you put the bedrooms in place when the frame is on its knees, before you put the canvas over ( unless it's raining ! ). good luck.
