We recently bought an Outwell Ohio XL from Allweathers with a kid's room and carpet. First thing we noticed is the kid's room does fit correctly, then we put the carpet down there is a large area near the wardrobe door that look like it has large red stain. The last night we found a rip about 20mm long near the back corner, I'm sure we didn't do it as I had a footprint underneath and a carpet on top. Allweathers have already spoken to outwell about the kid's room now with these problems they are going to thing I'm a right complainer, but I have read that the is a problems with the Maryland XL and Hartford XL. How much testing do they do befored launch you think they would put the tent up and check the accessories fit.
Any way going back to Allweather tomorrow for a chat.
PS we like the Ohio XL I'm not trying to think of an excuse to give it back, I just think when you buy an Outwell you think you are getting a quality tebt that all fits together.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Touch wood never had a problem with any Outwell stuff - have a monty with extension, carpet, footprint, kids room. Also have oregon and various other items.
Noticed on all my tents though that they are inspected by CHOI?
Hi, We recently bought the Outwell Arkansas 5 from Allweathers and upon getting it home we found that one of the seams in the sleeve where you put the pole through had not been machined fully and therefore it was very difficult to get the pole through. We did return this to Allweathers who exchanged it - no problem but it is worrying when you think you are buying a quality tent and then find something wrong. Luckily we assembled it in the garden at home prior to our camping holiday.
We are still waiting for the carpet to arrive but fingers crossed it will be ok.
