We are awaiting arrival of our Gelert Albury 8 tent (I gather this is like the Gelert Quebec 8). As we are first-time campers I would like to make it as comfy and homely as possible for us and the kids and woul like a tent carpet.
Does anyone know the cheapest place for one specifically for this tent.. or if any others will fit ok?
Also same question for the matching porch extension/canopy type thing- where is the cheapest place?
Hope you can help, have seen a few things when searching on Google but guessed you lot might be able to help!
xx

We have the Gelert Quebec and, on the advice of another member (Milly) we purchased the Khyam sun porch. I'm not sure if the Gelert Horizon canopy will fit - best to ring the tent manufacturers and double check as I was told it would not fit into place correctly.
As for carpet - I purchased an Outwell Minnesota 6 carpet from Ebay (seller: The Camping Warehouse) for £40, cut it in 1/2 and placed both parts in the bedroom areas, then I use picnic mats in the lounge area.
i asked gelert the same question and they dont do a porch for the quebec/aldbury. as booty says the kyham sun porch is a perfect fit. as for carpets. gooutdoors do the hi-gear tents which are made by gelert. there is one tent, cant remember which, but is identical but cheaper version of the quebec. you can get a carpet to fit that so im sure it will fit the quebec. i dont have a carpet, i used softex and have cut it down to size. it doesnt fray or get dirty easy and is easy to clean, hosed down at end of season!

hi,iv purchased a gelert quebec 8+4, iv only tested it in the back garden and waiting to take it on my 1st camping trip next wknd! i was impressed with it,and didnt take us long to put it up, i wanted a bit bigger of a living area so iv had an idea of getting a khyam sun porch as i see booty as got one when i read forums! im waiting for its delivery but im a bit nervous how its going to look on my tent, just hope its a perfect fit, my tent is sky blue and navy and the porch looks a dark grey,sh colour.it would be great if someone with the same tent and porch can give me a positive feedback with this, just a bit weary how its go,n to look, its a shame theirs no photos with them together on this site. anyway me and my family are looking foreward to our camping experience nxt wknd

Hi Neicey - the tent I have is sky blue too and the khyam porch is a grey colour but I haven't had chance to pitch them together yet as our garden is too small. We are going camping again first week in June and taking both items so I'll post pictures on our return (which probably isn't much use to you!). Have fun.
thaks for your feedback,we are going camping the week kids are off,we are going to talybont,i will try mine out then, will also let you know how i get on,i will also try and get pictures on,
I'm thinking exactly the same! We went on our 1st ever camping trip in April but didn't take the porch as I was adamant I wasn't cooking but how we missed it - would have been ideal to store the furniture, accessories, shoes etc., Let me know how you get on
