Hello, we're thinking of buying the Gelert Horizon 8 tent and I would just like to know if anyone can tell me what difference there is between the '08 version and '09 one?

I've just been "digging" on the net and it seems that last years had a 5000mm waterproofing and this years is 3000, is this right? and why has it gone lower? The one we have seen is the 3000mm. Would this be ok?

The canopy has a 5000mm which we are also going to buy.

Can't help about model difference,but 3000HH is more than adequate.

Dont know the differences between the 2008 and 2009 versions as we have never owned either but 3000HH is more than enough

The minimum suggested HH is 1500

the doors on the 2009 are different they are now draft proof. they zip round different to the 08. i only know as i was looking at the horizon 6 at our local supplier. i read reviews on here about the drafts and it put me off until i saw the new model and now i want one. only thing is i have 3 other tents to sell first!
