Orchy is a great tent lots of folk on here will be along soon to confirm that but it is tricky with young children. My two share a pod they are 2 &4 and at Easter we had to stagger their bedtimes because my daughter (4) kept waking my son. We put her to bed first and after 15mins or so put him to bed and it worked very well. Do you think this could work for you? Or put one to bed in your bed and transfer back to other pod at your bedtime maybe
we have it all as one as he has special needs and can have fits we have tent so i can see and check both of them during the night and hubby sleeps one side of him and me the other with baby the other side of me he just creates loads and wont go to sleep very easily so was thinking maybe we should get a tent with several pods one for storage one for hub and son and one for daughter and me but didnt see anything like this at our local camp shop
i need to decide what i am doing long before our summer hol in time to sort out my dilemma

Have you looked at the Vango Tigris 600/800?? We went in the 800 and thought it was great....then stupidly we brought the Coleman Sector X5 which looks fab....if only we could erect it!!!!!!

isnt the tigris like a vis a vis tent we found our old easycamp vis a vis an absolute nightmare to put up took ages and poles always fall down although we dont want to spend a fortune

vis a vis means bedroom at each end of tent and living in middle. yeah we only been doing it a couple of years as family been four yr in total as had a baby last year so couldnt go until now.
Our old one was only easy to put up if you got several people helping to hold poles up until they all in and up nightmare it was

This is common. It is very difficult to find the perfect tent.
There is a thread about perfect tents and it is surpising how many people would make changes to theirs.
Yeh they do have bedrooms on either end although the 800 has two bedrooms and one end and two at the other. My husband says we'd need 3 pairs of hands to put up our tent and with a 10 month old and a 4 year old I just can't see that happening!!!! Oh well....may have to get a different tent!!!
lol its a nightmare i just looked at a pic of yours on reveiw site it looks good but does look hard tp put up our orchy is really easy and vanggo show you on a dvd how to put them up will have to scout about its a shame no where does a tarde in /part ex like you do with a car lol means people wouldnt lose all their money

Well I can only recommend what we have. Its a Vango yukon 800 and has 4 bedrooms .Its bedrooms vis a vis style , 2 seperate 2 berths and a 4 berth that can be divided down the middle, so you have loads of options on how to use it. We have 3 kids so they can have a room each and spread out their stuff! It has a large living area and is very easy to pitch. At less than 4m wide it should avoid the double pitch issue of some other 8 birth tents too. Its not too pricey either for a vango premium range tent so worth a look! Hope this is some help!
Why dont you put a double bed for adults in the middle with single at each side. Kids can go to be in their own pods and when you go to bed, let down (or hook up)the central curtain (or not if you've had a domestic!!) and the kids will be none the wiser. They will be in their own bedrooms but not cause you to be apart if you know what I mean!
The tigris is a tunnel tent, so even if the bedroom arrangement is vis a vis the tent is easy to pitch. We have a yukom 800, and it is easy to pitch. i think that is the previous model of the tigris.
