I also have to add to this question (we have the XL). We put it up by pegging out the back corners then inserting the top pole and legs on the back section. We then went along doing the same until we got to the front. We then pegged out the rest of the tent.

The question I have is do you as we do and insert the top roof poles as you need them or do you insert ALL the roof poles and then go along putting on the legs or insert all roof poles and legs on the ground and then raise the tents in sections.

Check out the previous threads on here for pitching tips for the Vermont. We found them really useful on our first pitch in the garden! We found inserting the poles at the back, then the front, then the middle and then the two others worked best (lifting each section as the poles are fitted). You won't be able to lift the whole roof with all the poles fitted!
