Hi all,

Anyone got experience of the Vango Columbia 400 or 600? There are no reviews of it on the site yet and virtually nothing mentioned on these boards. Someone must have it?

In my ongoing quest for a new tent I finally decided that the Outwell Montana 4 would be ideal but unfortunately it is discontinued :(

However, the Vango Columbia 400 is almost an identical copy so I'm wondering what it's like?

Anyone got any thoughts on this tent?

Cheers
Chris

For anyone else looking, I finally tracked down a pitched Vango Columbia 600 at Casey Outdoor Leisure in Chester and I was totally underwhelmed by this tent.

Considering this is an almost identical tent to the Outwell Montana 6 there really is no comparison between the two. Whereas the Outwell Montana 6 feels great quality and is light and airy inside, the Vango Columbia in comparison feels cheap and is really dreary inside.

It's hard to explain why it felt so much worse but the windows were not as big, it was dark inside and you just got that feeling that the materials used were not as good quality. It's a fair bit cheaper than the Montana but doesn't live up to it in terms of quality from what I could see.

hi

I am also looking for reviews on vango columbia 600 - the rival is the outwell montana 6 - same price and basic pec -  vango not much cheaper - there is little in it cost wise

key difference for me is that vango gives choice of having a door sill or not - outwell  only has sill - and you have to step over it - slight disability makes this important
