Hi we are looking for our first tent and are thinking about buying the Vango Tigris 800. I have read most of the reveiw on here about them but is there any thing better for the same amount of money.

Could be. It is one of this years most popular tents . Perhaps if you could give a few more details , we might proffer sage advice ,such as how many will be using the tent , have you any special needs ,how much available transport space.
We have the Tigris 800 and have 2 adults + 3 kids. The layout is great and it is a doddle to put up. We also looked at the Khyam Ontario 8 and Gelert Horizon 8, but chose the Vango as we have had an Aspen in the past.
We did have a horror story (search the forum) but generally the tent should be perfect. I do feel it needs the Tunnel Extension (not canopy - a million posts on here regarding this!) if you want a separate area to cook in as you will have all four bedrooms in use which cuts down on your living area.

Sorry the Hijack this post but is it possible to use the 4 man room without the divider at the end of the tent (ie the none opening end rather that the 2 two man rooms? We want to use the big room only but would also like the end large door open?
