We love our Montana 6 + extension and have had many happy holidays as a family of 4 using it BUT we would like a smaller (quicker to erect?) second tent to use for quick weekends/nights away and for some festivals this year.  Can anyone recommend a tent that might suit?

Thanks in advance

Jac

We have a hartford xl, and have just bought a cheapie little tent for weekends.  We bought an Easycamp Licata 400 for under £100, and had our first weekend away in it 2 weekends ago.  It was brilliant value for money.  Much quicker to errect, and adequate for 2 nights.  Still had enough 'living space'.

We could have found a better quality tent I'm sure, but would have cost substantially more. (Which when you work it out at price per night in tent, for us would not have been a good deal - it depends how much you want to use it).  But I would certainly recommend the layout etc, if you want to use it LOTS you might want a better quality fabric.

i can't help thinking that for a family of 4 the qechua base vis a vis tent is perfect for a really quick weekend getaway. 1 minute put up. Can't go wrong. And retailing at approx £150. I would buy one but with 5 of us there just isn't enough bedroom space. I am keeping an eye on next year's offerings.
