Thanks for all you comments, we have bought it now and I rather like it (and it comes with a free carpet and footprint for under £600 so I think we did quite well) All I can say is its lucky we are not all the same or we would all be in the same kind of tent. You only have to see how many tents are on the market to see everyone wants something a bit different. As I said before it is a weekend tent for us, we have an Idaho XL for longer trips, which is huge. Our previous weekend tent was a Kansas 5 with hardly any living space and we still all fitted in when it rained - and it was fun!

When I had my frame tent, I used to tidy the bed pod to the back and then drop the front fixings and fold it back over the bedding. This gave a larger area to use during the day and before bed time. Don't know if it's possible but may be worth doing if it is.
But I bet you enjoy it either way.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
Reading this thread back, some of us sound a little mean
That was not the intention
We read so many posts from people who buy a new tent and then regret it due to size etc and it is heartbreaking.
I am not an Outwell fan but that doesnt mean they are rubbish, Everyone is entitled to their own taste and if we all had the same tents then that would just be boring
So hopefully the tent will be appropriate and enjoyed by the OP
Happy teepeeing
Ah, made up a new word lol
