Hi all,
I wondered if anyone out there could advise please:
My daughter has been offered a Outwell Hartford XL, alledged date of manufacture, 2008.
The person offering it for sale has said that it has to be pitched inner tent first?, so would it really be a 2008 model, or earlier??
Thanks in advance,
Pete

Not a 2008 model if it pitches inner first.
They may have bought it in 2008 but it was for the 2008 season that Outwell changed the Hartfords to pitch in one with OUTSIDE poles.
They also slightly altered the size (bedroom pods higher) and the porch is different - more of a Gothic style arch (more pointed)Also has 'NEW large windows and the two skylights provide ample inner light' and also O shaped stowaway inner doors to the bedroom areas.------------- Keely :-))

Are these large tents a problem regarding pitching on sites?

They can be - some sites will make you pay for 2 pitches or pay extra for them because they sprawl so much (usually the more commercial sites that want to get as many in as possible).
There are as many that won't charge you more as there are that will.
You just have to choose your site.------------- Keely :-))

we have the xxl and haven`t had a problem finding a site,i just e-mail first, saves wasting everyones time.I stay clear of the commercial sites, they tend to have more regimented pitch size.------------- Kazzy & Bob
