Am totally new to camping and am considering which family tent to buy (2 adults and 2 kids). I like the sound of the Lichfield yacuma . Any experiences with this one?
Many thanks

looking at the spec of the tent and the fact they are part of the same group as Vango i would think the quality would be good. seems to be plenty of space for sitting if you get some rough weather.
Hopefully someone will be along soon who actually owns one and they can give you more info
another ? Its says pitch style is flysheet first... is this an easier or harder pitch style. again am totally new and still trying to get my head round som of the terminology
Flysheet first is good, it saves the inside getting wet when you have to pitch in the rain.
Looking at the picture of the tent you should have no trouble pitching it, Obviously it would be a good idea to have a practice in your garden if it is big enough.

Flysheet first pitching is what you might imagine a tent to be pitched. The flysheet is the outer skin of the tent. If it is continuous with the groudsheet then it is termed sewn in groundsheet (SIG) or less common zipped in ground sheet ( ZIG ) . Other wise the ground sheet is a separate piece than can be attached to the flysheet via toggles at a hieght of about 4 inches above the floor ,which makes a bathtub appearance, hence that name. There are a few variations , but that is about the sum of it for groundsheets. Once the outer flysheet has been pitched, there should be inner tent rooms to attach ,or they may be preattached for all in one pitching. Sometimes you come across tents that have to be errected inner first , then flysheet. The risk is that they are exposed to the elements whilst pitching , and could get wet. Fortunately , once the fly is on , the inner should dry out . Some tents do not have inners , the most obvious example is a teepee .
