Hello all.
Have just returned from a miserable day at the beach for Surf Life Saving competition, where weather & sea conditions were rotten. However a last minute decision yesterday saw me putting my older Cabanon Etna in the car instead of the 1 man beach tent pop up thing. What a saviour it was. We were able to keep all our kit (several families worth) dry & accessible with room for the kids to change in & out of wetsuits & shelter several people during the (many) downpours that we had.

The only downside to using the tent was that all our kit had to be transported by foot a fair distance and as well as all the surf kit, the poles, canvas & handful of sand pegs was a 2 trip job.....

SO, I am looking for a lighter nylon alternative to the Etna to use instead - something that can be carried in 1 bag maybe. Some sort of utility/kitchen tent maybe - it's roughly 2.25m wide by about 3.5m long, high at the front & dips low at the back.

Please help - don't think I can do another competition without one!

Many thanks
Karen

Decathlon Base tent? Clicky

Not as big as your Etna but wins hands down on the ease of pitching.

Remarkable stable in the wind as well.

Hmm, thanks for that, but pitching is not a problem as there's always plenty of people about at our comps - the Etna really only took 10 mins, and the pop out things are not much bigger than what I already have! Ideal as a place to store all our bags & stuff to make more room for humans in the frame tent though!! The etna is also waaaaay easier to put away than them springy boingy things - sooo funny to watch though!!!   Reminds me of the springy snake in the peanut tin!!!!!!!
