Hi all.
Was looking for a camping exhibition in my area - Sth Herts.
None that I could see.
But www.campingcentreexibitions.co.uk listed one at Wokingham.
Anyone been to one of these events? How big? Are there lots of tents on display etc etc?

We've been to this one twice now in the last week and have found what we were looking for both times and mostly cheaper than we had seen online. There is a large field full of tents ( Kampa, Coleman, maybe Sprayway and Vango (can't remember for sure!) and loads more (definately no Outwell though)), trailer tents and motorhomes. Across a little lane is a barn packed full of accessories - sleeping bags, airbeds, mats, cookers, cooksets, toilets, coolers, lights, gas and gadgets etc etc. There is also an area full of tables, chairs, camping kitchens, cupboards, coolboxes and electric coolers etc etc. It's a bit muddly but full of stuff!
It was only a 1/2 hr drive for us but we thought definately worth it. We're planning to go back next year to buy all the things we couldn't afford this year!!
If you're getting directions off a route-planner or using your sat nav - make sure you put the right postcode in. You may end up at a very nice garden centre (without a camping exhibition)!
I went to the one in Wokingham yesterday. Use your sat nav, as it's not that easy to find. Well worth going to though. Loads of tents to look at and buy, and I've since checked out the prices of the ones I liked and it was about £50 cheaper there than anywhere else online. There was also a camping store in the barn selling all sorts of stuff.
I would recommend leaving the kids at home, and haviong pleny of time to look around, as I was a bit rushed by my kids, and couldn't find one I liked a second time to show my husband, which was really annoying.
They tend to keep in brands, instead of berths, which was a bit tiring. They also have some secondhand tents for sale.
Also, I found another exibition at a country Gardens garden centre on the way out of wokingham, so if you go at the weekend, try both.
The roads in Wokingham can be a nightmare, (45 moinute journey took me 1 hour 20 minutes at rush hour) but I would highly recommend going if like me, you want a new tent, but want to look inside before spending so much money.
One final point, they have two prices on each label, one to buy a brand new tent, and one to take that one away when the exhibition is over.
It's quite large and good selection of tents, quite a few Khyams. Prices seem to be pretty good :)
When you go up Luckley Road (think that's how you spell it) go under the bridge and keep going to the end, it doesn't look like you're going anywhere useful. Then there's a dirt to the right, keep going up there and you;ll eventually see signs for the car-park.
Does anyone know WHICH postcode to use for this please. We are off first thing and have just sat down to plan route on the Sat Nav and the 2 postcodes for the Wokingham display are taking us to different places.
Not at all fmiliar with the area and we are travelling from Oxford with 2 kids in tow!!
------------- I used to be emvid then a Little Lemon but now I am Emvid again!

We have just bought our new tent from the exhibition it was well worth it. It gets very busy there so be prepared to keep stopping on the track to the site.
The prices are great compared to online and delivery is not disappointing if you decide to buy one that isn't in stock. There are plenty of Kyman, Royal, Vango and much more. Be prepared to zig zag backwards and forwards. One thing we did was take some pictures of the tents and came home to view what other people said about them and called them back and ordered on the phone.
I am glad we went there as I would never have known about the Royal Tent as we normally do our shopping at Go Outdoors in Oxford.
Don't know whether this is too late - but use the postcode that says is for your sat nav. It should take you to Luckley Rd in Wokingham - then just follow the camping exhibition signs. Have fun!
Went to show yesterday. It's good to have a large selection of tents and be able to compare the finer details. We settled for a Khyam Quebec 8 for £289 so that's a reasonable saving to everywhere else.
I did intend to buy the Khyam Ontario but was overruled by the missus. The Ontario was selling for £209 so no saving there as you can get it at Somerset Camping for same.
