what is the best type of family tent for good old british spring/autumn camping?
would need to be pretty big though!!

Well we are just back from a week. we had our canvas TT and the kids had normal polyester tents. They all came to ours for the warmth of the canvas. So I guess canvas has it.

Canvas , then polycotton then polyester . Warmest polyester are those that have a complete inner which is pitched first .The question should really be which are least affected by the outside temperature.------------- Be seeing you!!

Cotton, with a ZIG and ceiling liners in the living area. Smaller tents are warmer than big ones.
