I am looking to purchase a soulpad canvas tent or a canvas and cas tent (my husband wants a stove in the tent)
I have read so much ive ended up confused between soulpad, canvas and cast and obelink. We have never been camping and done our research and found that we want a bell tent with a stove.
Soulpad has a good offer 5m lite for 309 (what does lite stand for ?) also does it have a hold for the flue?
Does anybody have a discount code i can use if i decide to purchase from soulpad. I feel i am going mad and need some expert help. I do have a 2 year old so want something that is right

The lite means it has a seperate ground sheet. I have the 5 mtr soulpad lite.
It does not have any provision for a flue. A kit can be purchased to do the job.
I believe the Canvas and cast is a thicker canvas and does have a flue outlet, but is a lot more expensive.
I also have a 450 grm 4 mtr bell tent which I bought new for £250 inc postage. But this is a bit basic compared to the Canvas & Cast and SoulPad versions.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
hi- We have a 4m bell tent from obelink, and have camped april to october in it without heating-do you need the stove? The idea of a stove is cool but how often are you going to use it-and might end up being another thing to try and fit in the car.
you say you've never been camping-have you got someone you can borrow a tent off before you pay out for kit-you may find you camp near someone who has a bell tent -theres a few of them around this year, then you can see if its right for you.
If you do decide to go ahead- a freind has the canvas and cast bell tent and stove and was very pleased with it-good price good qualitiy

we have a budget of 600 an have seen a 4m canvas and cast offer for 4m tent, porch, bedroom seperator, flue and pipsqueck stove, we thought this sounded like a good offer but have noticed alot of people are buying direct from obelink.
how much is the kit to put the hole for the flue in

Hi BabySinead, Welcome to the forum....by the sounds of it you have been researching aIl things camping for a while!
I agree with tense peggy though, I think you need to go camping first and make sure that it's for you!
We borrowed our camping kit to start off with and realised that we loved it so bought everything we needed after.
You might find that you need a larger tent than a bell tent....have you been in one and tried out the headroom? does the floor space work for you? If you can go and see them, it will really make you aware of the dimensions.
I have to agree that they look the business and are stunning when all lit up at night....very romantic!
Hope you manage to make up your mind soon...Enjoy your camping!
are you sure you want a stove with a toddler? (and excusing my presumption but perhaps more in the future) i certainly wouldn't want to feel i had to spend all my camping time watching/warning the baby off the stove. i have a 6 yr old and a 2 yr old and while i'd trust the 6 yr old to be sensible around a stove on her own i'm not sure she'd necessarily remember to be careful if she was playing/fighting with her sister. personally i'd wait until your youngest was a good few years older before considering a stove. warm clothes/blankets/beds really should be all you need for may-sept camping (imho).
