we bought one this week we will prob have the same probs as you then, we havent had chance to try it out yet hopefully it will be easy once we do it the once it seems a good addition to have
more by luck than judgement the last time we used our porch (khyam) which is basically the same as yours, when at Helmsley recently we were pitched next to a gelert horizon with same porch.
the porch does not fit tightly against the tent - there is a gap. the key is getting the top part over the tent right. we make the porch up with the poles - me and the teenagers hold the porch in place while hubby walks round with the guys that go over the roof part. the guys at the back are then pegged down.
the top part fits over the two tent poles so there is a gap between roof of the tent and the material of the porch throwover.
hope this all makes sense - just to warn you the last time we pitched we were charged extra for the sun porch as it was classed as an add-on and not part of the main tent. Bit of a con we thought - but there you go.
Thanks. . . . . thats the bit i was having trouble with the top part and the ties that go over your tent, didnt realise them guys were long enough to walk round back of the tent with . . .silly me was throwing them over or shud i say trying ! !
